Embracer 1.0a (2/1/97) (initial release)
A character generator for Vampire: The Masquerade (TM).
(A Dice Pool utility is built in - check the menus.)

Embracer is a 32-bit program for Windows 95 or NT
(although I haven't tried it under NT).

Installation is easy; just copy Embracer.exe anywhere on your hard disk,
then create a shortcut to it. To uninstall, delete the .exe and the
shortcut.

A few notes on the initial release:

1. No help. Buy the book Vampire: The Masquerade (TM) (2nd ed.) from
your local bookstore. ISBN 1-56504-029-5, published by White Wolf.
Email me if you are having problems unrelated to the gaming system.

2. Requires that several TrueType fonts be installed on your system:
Arial, Times New Roman, Courier New, and (especially) Wingdings.

3. Your printer must be capable of printing graphics.
As there is no Save option currently, be sure your printer is
on-line (and has paper) before you start generating a character.

4. Designed for 800x600 mode, small fonts. It's kinda teeny in 1024x768,
but it works. In 640x480, you may want to right-click the taskbar clock
and select Properties, then Auto hide.

All Delphi 2 developers should use BC.

Possible future enhancements (comments/suggestions welcome):

Option to save character (so can work on it later)

Help file (or at least pop-up hints with on/off setting)

Scaling for those working in 1024x768, etc.

Bounding to prevent resizing (as that's pointless with this design)

.INI file (or Registry entry) to remember player name, hint status,
  chronicle, etc.

  Gender selection

Additional clans (if I ever get the specs)
