About the eAuthor SDK
---------------------

eAuthor is a complete Rapid Authoring and Design (RAD) tool for web sites and online
Html based help. eAuthor offers authoring and deployment tools for online help authors.

eAuthor is one of the most customizable authoring tools available - anyone armed
with HTML knowledge and the Template, Tag and Wizard Composers that come with
eAuthor (or the eAuthor Template Tools) can create new templates, snippets and wizards.
You can also add tools and browsers to eAuthor's Tools menu.

The SDK (also known as the Open Tools API) takes eAuthor's customization to a new level
by allowing new property types, templates, add-ins and scripts to be created using any
programming language that supports COM and Automation objects.
You can also automate many of eAuthor's functions using Active Scripting -
scripts written in JavaScript or VBScript or via external applications.

A Sample Add-In is installed in the sampadin sub-directory.
A Sample Template is installed in the samptemp sub-directory.
Another sample template (KnowledgeBaseTemplate) is installed in the KBTem sub-directory.
A template that provides it's own editor is installed in the SDKEdSmp sub directory.
