baserunner 2.5 is available for both Linux and Windows servers. With the exception of the email routines, the versions for both operating systems are virtually identical in use, and an application designed under one will port with fairly modest changes to the other. This documentation covers both OS versions.
Each page in the documentation has a navigation bar at the top of the page. Before you begin working on your application, you should spend some time examining the example application that comes with baserunner and read through this documentation. baserunner has many features and capabilities. Most applications will use only a few of these. If looking through the documentation leaves you feeling a bit overwhelmed, try starting out by simply modifying the example application to uses your data. Once you've done that, working with new features you want to add will be much easier. A good knowledge of HTML and, perhaps, JavaScript will be of as much value as knowing xBase.
