1. About txt2pad
----------------
Txt2pad is a _simple_ freeware utility that converts a Windows directory structure to a TreePad file.

Txt2pad is freeware, plain and simple. Use it, improve on it (the source code is included), distribute it.

2. Included files
-----------------
Included in the txt2pad.zip:
- txt2pad.exe (the application)
- ext.txt (extension file, a list of the type of files txt2pad will include in the TreePad file)
- help.txt (help file)
- readme.txt (this file)
- todo.txt (a list of possible future improvements)
- source (a folder containing the all Visual Basic 6 files used to make txt2pad)

3. Install/Uninstall
--------------------

Installation
------------
I have not (yet) included an installation program. If you have VB6 or have ever installed an application created in VB6 you can just unzip the txt2pad.zip file to a directory and run the program from there. If you have never installed a VB6 program, then you need to download and install the VB6 Runtimes.

VB6 Runtimes - http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/release.asp?ReleaseID=12704

Mircosoft's site has a habit of rearranging itself every couple of days, so if the above link doesn't work try going to http://www.microsoft.com/downloads and searching within "VB 6 Professional Version" for the runtime files.

Uninstallation
--------------
To uninstall txt2pad, delete the directory you unzipped the txt2pad.zip file to.

You also need to delete one registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\txt2pad

To delete this key:
- go to Start --> Run
- type regedit in the Open box, press OK
- Edit --> Find
- type txt2pad in the find box (only need to check "Look at keys")
- once found press the Delete key and confirm you want to delete the txt2pad key
