WebRegister 1.0
===============

Registration is simple to install and is currently designed as a standalone. The files
included with this release are:

Default.asp - a dummy home page with a link to call the registration form.
This is only used to show the installer how the form works and shouldn't
be used. This merely represents your home page.

Readme.txt - This document.

Registration.asp -	The form used to gather information to store for registration.

Thankyou.asp - The form used to store the gathered information. This is the response
			form.

WebBase.mdb - The Access97 database used to store the information.

There are setup variables in both the Registration.asp and the Thankyou.asp files. You need to
set these variables to tell the program where it is placed in your web site. They are:

Pointing Variables in Registration.asp
--------------------------------------

Pointing variables let the application know where it resides in your web site.

mDefaultDestination -	This is where ASPRegistration 1.0 send the user after the registration
process is over, if one wasn't found in the querystring calling
Resistration.asp. I use this as my home site, assuming I have some sort
of link pointing straight to registration.

mResponseLoc - This is the location of the response location. This is where the
Thankyou.asp file resides in relation to the Registration.asp dir.
(Example: if the Registration.asp file was in /Registration dir,
and Thankyou.asp was in the /Registration/Finished dir, this variable
would be /Finished/Thankyou.asp (because you are already in the
			/Registration dir using the /Registration/registration.asp.

Variables in Thankyou.asp
-------------------------

mRegFormLoc - This is where the Registration.asp file resides in relation to the
Thankyou.asp file. (Example: if the Registration.asp file was in
/Registration dir, and Thankyou.asp was in the /Registration/Finished
dir, this variable would be ../registration.asp (because you are
already in the /Registration/ThankYou dir using the
			/Registration/Finished/thankyou.asp file.

mRegBaseLoc - This is the location of WebBase.mdb. If it were in your root directory,
this variable would be "/WebBase.mdb". If it were one directory behind
thankyou.asp, if it were in the same directory, it would be "WebBase.mdb"
			it would be "../WebBase.mdb"

INSTALLATION
============

1. Decide where you want these files to reside in your web site. This is how it was set up at
the time of this writing on WebTest Server (www.dyessindustries.com/webtest):

	     (a)WebTest Server (Index.asp)
		|
		|-Tech Articles (/Tech_Articles/tech_articles.asp)
		|-Source Code
	     (b)|-Registration (/Registration/registration.asp)
	     (c)| |-Thank You (/Registration/Thank_you/thank_you.asp)
		|-Rate Calculator
		|-Voting Booth 1.0	(/Voting_Booth_1_0_a/voting_booth_1_0_a.asp)
		|-Voting Booth 2.0a

Using this schema, the directory structure of each of these levels would be:

		(a) - mDefaultDestination	= "/Index.asp" (points to home page)
		(a) - mRegBaseLoc = "/WebBase.mdb" (points to Access MDB)
		(b) - mRegFormLoc = "/Registration/registration.asp"
		(c) - mResponseLoc = "/Registration/thank_you/thank_you.asp"

2a. If you are going to use this as a standalone, place the registration.asp, thankyou.asp,
and WebBase.mdb in their according directories and name the pointing variables to
the locations of these files on your website.

2b. If you are going to integrate this application into an existing HTML document, copy the
registration.asp file to your clipboard, open your HTML document, and paste the
contents of the clipboard into the document. Make sure you remove the <HTML> and
	<BODY> tags and closing tags.

3. Publish your site.
