Welcome to gmymusic!

=====about======

Gmymusic is a gtk+ interface to mymusic. Mymusic is a GPL'd mp3 jukebox
of sorts with many useful features, such as voting, queueing, weighted
random song selection when no songs are in the queue and other features.
It is available online at
http://members.xoom.com/adamjansen/mymusic-0.9b.tar.gz, or you can search
for it in the appindex on freshmeat.net.
gmymusic was tested with mymusic version 0.9b. gmymusic is almost
useless without mymusic!

=====release notes=====

-for the "next song" feature to work, gmymusic must be run as the same
user as mymusicd! This is because the next song button simply runs the
command "killall mpg123". You can run this same command without
gmymusic. just type "killall mpg123" at any terminal or console. If the
processess are run by different users, you will not be allowed to kill the
process, and thus won't be able to skip to the next song.
When you kill mpg123, mymusicd treats it just like the end of a song, and
selects the next song from the queue, or picks a song.

-sometimes the current queue button displays the songs in the wrong
order. This will be fixed in future versions.

=====installation=====
simply run the following commands:

# tar zxvf gmymusic-0.1.tar.gz
# cd gmymusic
# make

That's all! gmymusic is compiled. You can run gmymusic from where it
is, or you move it to somewhere in your path where you have write
permissions. Or if you have root access, you may install it in
/usr/local/bin/ or a similar directory.

=====reporting bugs=====
Few people can write perfect, bug-free code. This especially applies to
me! : ) If you find a bug, please email caffiend@atdot.org, and tell me
the conditions the bug occurs under, and I will try to fix them for the
next release.
