Q. What is RIMPS?
  A. RIMPS is a frontend built in PHP and using Apache to make it a web-based
      MP3 server.

Q. What does RIMPS stand for?
  A. Rob's and Ian's MP3 Server. That was the working title, but
no one came up with a better name so it stays. Although, one
name that was under consideration was "Stern: King of All MP3s"

Q. What is the logo picture of?
  A. RIMPS! (It sounds like diarrhea.)

Q. How does it work?
  A. RIMPS uses PHP to dynamically generate webpages and playlists from
the SQL database. The MP3s are then streamed by the webserver.

Q. What do else do I need?
  A. RIMPS requires PHP to be installed, a webserver (we use Apache),
a database (currently only PostgreSQL is supported).

Q. Where can I get these?
  A. RIMPS - rimps.linuxbox.com
      PHP - www.php.net
      PostgreSQL - www.postgresql.org
      Apache - www.apache.org

Q. How do I create accounts?
  A. Right now you have to do it manually. This requires a little
knowledge of SQL, but this should get you through it. First,
connect to the database with "psql mp3". At the prompt, type
      "insert into accounts values ('username','password');"
Online account management is in the works.

Q. How do I create a playlist?
  A. First, you need an account. Log in. Click "Create Playlist".
You will be presented with an input box to name the playlist.
Do not use spaces. Click submit after you type it in. After,
your playlist should show up in the playlist section.

Q. How do I add songs to my playlist?
  A. Login to access your playlist. Click on the playlist you want to
add songs to. Now you can browse the song selection and click 'Add'
to add that song to the current playlist which is denoted with an '*'.
The playlist will remain selected until you pick a different playlist
      or logout.

Q. Where can I report bugs?
  A. Send an email to rdale@linuxbox.com with as much detail as possible.

Q. How can I help develop RIMPS?
  A. Send an email to rdale@linuxbox.com to get coordinated.
