Right now we're sort of forcing you to install into /usr/local/rimps.
Install elsewhere at your own discretion.

To install the RIMPS package, type:

                      ./install.sh /usr/local/rimps

More documentation can be found in...

Database setup:  rimps-db.txt
Website setup:   rimps-www.txt

It is recommended you read those documents. The rest of this is deprecated.

OLD INSTALL:

This install assumes you have atleast some webserver running
and postgresql running.

  Create a user 'rimps'

  Create a new user in PostgreSQL 'rimps'.
  Create database 'mp3'.
  Create the tables with \i table.pgsql

  Switch to user rimps
  Run ./install.sh

  You will need to edit RIMPS configs in rimps/config/

  In config.php:

    Use your IP or FQDN
    $config["webserver"]="www.mymachine.com";
    $config["mp3server"]="mp3.mymachine.com";

    This is the directory for your MP3s on the filesystem
    $config["local_storage"]="/usr/local/storage/mp3";

  In dbconfig.php

    This should point to the machine which is running the database.
    $dbconfig.php["sqlhost"]="localhost";

    If you use anything other than the defaut port, set this. Otherwise,
    it can be left blank.
    $dbconfig["sqlport"]="";

    These can be left blank if you public access (which is a bad idea!)
    You should set these to the username and password of the rimps user.
    You'll want to take measures to secure this file if it contains any
    passwords.
    $dbconfig["sqlusername"]="rimps";
    $dbconfig["sqlpassword"]="rimps123";

  You should now be able to test the web interface.

  If everything seems okay, fill the databse with your goodies.
  We use: mp3db -u rimps -p rimps123 -d pgsql /usr/local/storage/mp3/
  Read the docs for mp3db for more info.

  Provided your browser is setup properly, you should now be able to
  browse the selections and stream songs. Whee...
