Welcome to the LR script editor.
This is a 100% remote web application built using the Mozilla XP-toolkit on the Gecko platform.
The future of application writing.

Goal: To build a full blown, web based, script editor.

Current Status:

11/21/99 Hooked up real primative location bar only browsing in the "browser toolbar". Please ignore the various image experiments you may see floating around, I am doing some tests.

11/14/99 Hooked up a couple of other toolbars (javascript, browser). They are in the real rough stages, but it is a good example of how the toolbars are dynamicly loaded. Also thanks to 3D graphic artist Tom Coogan who is working hard to bring some cool looking 3D toolbar buttons.

10/31/99 Hooked in quick insert for color picker. If you click on the visible colored button it will insert that color. This is handy for multiple inserts of the same color. You don't have to keep opening the color picker popup.

10/30/99 Hooked in cut, copy, paste and all that good stuff on the toolbar and in the edit menu.

10/24/99 Hooked in list buttons and blockquote. I know the justify popup needs some css tightening up.

10/23/99 Color Picker is back on line and fully functional! Looking better than ever. Also did the alignment popup. Oh yea, i cleaned up some of the icons. They will do for now.

10/10/99 No new functionality this time, I was really in the mood to do some "look and feel" stuff. The icons don't look to good, I need to make some new ones. But overall i think i like it!

10/3/99 OK, got code to preview again. Now when you write some html in the edit field, then hit "Preview", you will see it appear in the side bar.

9/17/99 OK, started to hook up buttons. Currently, bold, underline, break, new file, etc are working. Preview is busted, but i will get it going a gain. Hats off to all the netscape developers for creating such a rich set of scriptable components to tap into!

9/10/99
The new file button is now working as well as preview. If you write some html code and then hit preview, the side bar will open and your code will appear as a web page.

9/7/99
Right now this is just a UI, it doesn't do anything yet. When the UI is tested and looks good, i will start coding the app. It will rely heavily on cut and paste which i believe isn't finished yet.

9/2/99
The above toolbar is inside an iframe. This will enable dynamicly, loaded, modular toolbars. The idea being, plug in a new and updated toolbar at any point in time without breaking the application. A toolbar can be written for whatever language you want to support and then plugged in to the app. So the sky is the limit.
